The Global Fund for
Children has advanced the dignity of millions of at-risk children through
hundreds of small for the past 20 years. Grassroots allies and supporters are
the reason this organization has been able to accomplish what they have.
Because of their supporters, girls and boys around the world are getting the
help they need to overcome dire circumstances. The children that are helped by
GFC can feel safe, get an education, grow, and flourish.
I signed up with this
organization because I am interested in child sex trafficking and what is being
done to combat this horrific misjustice to many innocent children.

I share your feelings about sex trafficking and am happy to know that organizations like The Global Fund for Children are working to put a stop to this horrible practice. You bring up the importance of grassroots organizers, which I agree is so important to the eventual success of any organization. Without strong, passionate supporters, any cause is bound to be dropped. I hope to learn more about The Global Fund for Children and the work that they do.

It is a huge problem here in Michigan. People do not realize how big of a problem it is. I hope to learn more about how others deal with this problem.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your thoughts. I was going to choose The Global Fund for Children, I think their website was very easy to navigate. But I do want to comment on your thoughts about child trafficking. It is nothing new and what is so sad about this situation is that it gotten worse. I remember when I was 6, my relatives were talking about the children being sold to either slavery or for sex to old men around the world, all the victims were little girls. But now, it doesn't matter whether your a boy or an older girl, it is so sad and heart breaking. I have a friend at church who joined a movement against sex trafficking here in Columbus, Ohio. Please do share with all of us if you find information that can prevent such a horrific activity.

I also had a friend in my church whose teen daughter was kidnapped into sex trafficking. The sad thing is she escaped her captors and they found her and took her back. She was eventually rescued but it was a long road back for her and her family. I will give as much as I can.

ReplyDeleteI choose The Global Fund for Children also. They are all about the children and making sure they have a better life. From reading the things they do for the children, this is a great organization. I am also interested in sex trafficking. It is sad that so many young people fall into sex trafficking.
